In February 2021, the Round Oak Board approved funding to commence the Definition Phase Study for the Stockman Copper-Zinc Project which will build upon the Selection Phase Study (SPS) completed in 2019. This is the final step prior to the Project going to the Board for approval to commence construction and is expected to take 12 months to complete.
The objective of the study is to assess a number of upside opportunities that have been identified for the existing base case of the Project, further strengthening its position. The main site activities will include an initial diamond drilling program to collect samples required for metallurgical test work, with drilling to be undertaken using existing drill pads and access tracks. All primary approvals are in place for the development of the project and the secondary approvals required to progress to construction will also be obtained as part of the Definition Phase Study.
